ESG Data Platform and Sustainability Reporting in Power Platform
The client lacked a central source of truth for environmental and governance data, which hindered their ESG reporting and regulatory submissions. GC Consulting built a secure ESG data platform using Power Platform and Azure, delivering automated reporting and full emissions traceability across their operations.

The Challenge

Our Solution
We began by working with sustainability, compliance, and operations teams to catalogue over 70 ESG data sources, from fuel consumption to community investment.
We created a centralized ESG data model in Dataverse and built a custom Power App to capture structured data inputs from field teams.
Azure Synapse was used to ingest and cleanse IoT-based utility usage data. The entire model was mapped to standard GRI and SASB frameworks.
We built a suite of Power BI dashboards for executives and sustainability officers, showing live Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, renewable usage, and regulatory indicators.
To close the loop, we automated reporting generation for monthly board and investor packs, including version control and approval trails.
